Responsibilities
* Handling both Indian and International press relations that includes writing press releases, drawing PR plans, co-ordinating with external PR agencies, media relations and related tasks
* Identifying potential award applications and other felicitations, and collating information and preparing award applications for the same
* Planning and executing promos and other marketing initiatives
* Identifying, managing and co-ordinating event sponsorships for product promotions, brand building and marketing
* Identifying potential media outlets and drawing up effective advertising campaigns for different business units of the company
* Maintaining the company brand image while executing press activities / advertising / promos / events
* Co-ordinating with multiple departments for various marketing related tasks
* Writing content for the media, internal and external announcements, press releases and other marketing collaterals
* Constantly tracking and keeping in touch with various media vehicles including relevant newspapers, magazines, industry publications, online resources etc.
* Formulating strategies to lead company’s media policies
* Defining, documenting and implementing processes for managing PR
Requirements
Age:
* Less than 27 yrs of age
Experience:
* 1+ yrs of experience in a similar role, preferably in an IT company or a PR Agency
Educational Qualifications:
* Preferably Mass Media graduate or a PG in Public Relations / Marketing
Detailed Requirements:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be proactive
* Excellent follow up and reporting skills
* Excellent negotiation / convincing skills
* Ability to establish and maintain credibility with media, vendors, peers and management
* Sound knowledge of marketing / branding and public relations concepts
* Working knowledge of the Internet and basic internet applications and good Technical aptitude
* Ability to document and build processes for repetitive tasks
* Quick and creative thinker
* Excellent research and analytical ability
* Avid reader of offline and online resources - periodicals, newspapers, magazines, blogs etc
* Meticulous, methodical & extremely well organized
